We offer multiple opportunities for individuals to break into the sports, basketball and competitive athletic industry by hiring diverse staff and providing training tools to develop skills and build young professionals through valuable work experiences. All jobs come with mandated training programs and support to ensure you are equipped with the tools to be successful.

 

This program and model is based on a program that we ran successfully for many years in Canada, which was partnered with the local government in Alberta, Canada, to help create jobs, internships and work experiences for youth and young adults. We successfully helped kick-start many young people's careers and hope to do the same here in Bahrain.

Outline of Job Roles

Game Day Manager

All Divisions: 16+

Learn to manage game-day operations and oversee staff and volunteer base in a high-energy environment. Your job involves looking over the game day logistics and statistics table and ensuring all operations run smoothly from game to game.

Time Commitment: 8-16 hours per league/division

Note: Can work across multiple leagues and divisions

Youth Coach

All-Star to MVP Division: 16+
Rookie to Starter Division: 14+

Do you love basketball and want to impart your love of the game and experience to the next generation? Then you coach basketball and through a meaningful experience help support the development and growth of the sport.

 

Elite provides a concrete coaching training and orientation program to support our new young coaches with tools and resources to help ensure they have everything they need to be successful and develop as coaches.
 

Time Commitment: 10-12 hours per league/division

Note: Can work across multiple leagues and divisions

Broadcast and Media Staff

All Divisions: 16+

Enjoy broadcasting and running live-stream basketball games with commentary. Use your media skills to provide updates on live game updates games, as you add some colour commentary and broadcast action-packed games live.​

Youth Referee

All-Star to MVP Division: 16+

Rookie to Starter Division: 14+

Tired of officials getting the wrong calls, well then why not make the right calls and join an exciting career path to becoming a referee? Being a referee may look intimidating but requires a few simple skills: decision-making, communication skills and a background knowledge of the rules of basketball rules. All referees will get a training and orientation course on how to referee using FIBA rules and given support and help all season. Referees are paid an hourly rate per game based on experience and level.

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per league/division
